Local Programs & Services
At Norton Baptist a couple of times a year we take focus intentionally on a book of the Bible, spiritual discipline or theme from the Scripture. Part of that experience as a church is to gather together throughout the week in small groups. Everyone then is discussing and studying the same thing for six or seven weeks. It creates a strong emphasis on that truth as well as a great time to grow together with those folks in your small group. We try to keep the groups between eight and ten people.
Women’s Missionary Society normally meets the first Monday of the Month
Our WMS group meets on the first Monday of the month (except August) at 7:30pm. The program consists of devotionals, updates on our Canadian Baptist Ministries’ missionaries, prayer, financial support, and a time of fellowship. All women are invited to attend.
Tuesday’s 7pm – 8:30pm (Starting in the Fall)
Our Youth group is made up of both middle and high school students. When we meet, both groups have games, fun and snacks together. However when it comes time for teaching and small groups we split up between Middle and High School Students. Our group is usually made up of some fun games, small group Bible study, and some general wackiness with some fun events thrown in.
Sunday Mornings during Church time at 10:30am
Our nursery is for children from birth to preschool. We have a colourful and bright environment for young children.
Sunday Mornings during Chutch time at 10:30am (Sept to June)
The Seed is our Sunday morning program that runs during our worship service for elementary aged children. Early on in our morning worship children are invited to leave our service to take part in The Seed. In the seed volunteers will lead children into Biblical truth in fun and interactive ways.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is a week long summer camp of fun. We have all kinds of volunteers and we work to give children a great theme based week. Everyday through the week we have amazing music, interactive stories, great videos, snacks, and a couple of great crafts. Also throughout the week we seek to support a mission project to help share God’s love with children around the world.
